Peer Review Comments: Public officials involved in the privatization process must be impartial to ensure fair competitive access to public privatization by bidders. They must always act in the public interest and obey the provisions of the National Commission for Privatization Act to avoid conflicts of interest; refrain from committing or abetting corrupt or fraudulent practices; avoid coercion or collusion, including the solicitation or acceptance of any inducements; maintain confidentiality; and not undertake any private concern dealing with privatization activities.

  50c: In practice, conflicts of interest regulations for government officials involved in privatization are enforced.
